Professor Richard A. Adegbola is an Internationally respected Medical Microbiologist, researcher and global health expert with over three decades of experience spanning academia, diagnostics, philanthropy and the pharmaceutical industry across Africa, Europe and North America.

A Fellow of several prestigious scientific institutions, Professor Adegbola is widely recognised for his contributions to the epidemiology and prevention of childhood pneumonia and vaccine-preventable diseases. His groundbreaking research has significantly influenced the introduction of life-and pneumococcal vaccines across low- and middle-income countries, including Nigeria.

He currently serves as Founder and Lead Consultant at RAVBICON, while also contributing to global health policy through advisory roles with organisations including the World Health Organization and the Sabin Vaccine Institute.
